Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and fairly newly diagnosed with type 2. On metformin.
I have a few conditions but all have been checked for side effects and these do not fit. So I am a little concerned that I have slight numbness type feeling to my hands feet thighs buttocks and wondered if this is normal to this condition or the medication. And advice would be appreciate.
thank you

If you’re experiencing numbness then tell your GP as it may be nothing but we’re not doctors and it may be something.
Diabetes can cause many issues and many complications so it’s always best to tell your doctor of anything which is bothering you.

as others have said consult your gp or diabetic nurse.
however it is not uncommon that the rapid change from being a poorly controlled diabetic to a reasonably well controlled diabetic and that the change in blood sugar levels have an effect on the nervous system and the blood and oxygen saturation to the nerve endings resulting in increased sensitivity.

Best to go and get it checked out, or book a phone appointment to chat things through @OliveTree

Let us know what they say.
