hi does anyone else sometimes get numb tips of the fingers, or cramp when doing things like washing up? ive been on the pummp for 4 weeks now and my sugars are really well controlled (for the first time in a year). the numbness was only for 20 mins and right after a hypo

Quite frequently and my bg seems well controlled now.
It's the wretched cramp in both hands and lower legs that is a pest.
Doc says he can't explain it, just that it happens to many people especially diabetics as a result of poor circulation.

hi sugarfreerach, when i went on insulin and my sugar levels started to come in to the normal range i was in agony with pains in my arms ,chest ,leg and feet. specialist told me it was neuropathy pains, apparently when you have had high sugars for a while and then lower levels the body isnt used to it and you get neuropathy pains because all the nerve endings in the body are over stimulated. i take amitriptyline 75mg at night and 3 pregabalin 150mg a day, the pains have now gone. i get numbness in my fingers and toes sometimes if its cold. do you think your numbness could be conected to your hypo? i sometimes feel not quite right for an hour after a hypo.

thanks so much! yeah the hand cramps are really annoying! also the hypo wasnt a bad one i didnt feel that bad, just had some juice and it was fine. thanks so much
