There are now 333 more people with diabetes in Haringey than there were a year ago, according to a new data from a research charity.
The analysis by Diabetes UK has shown that 13,920 people in Haringey are now thought to have diabetes, which has gone up from 13,587 in 2012.
This means 7.5 per cent of people aged over 16 in the area have the condition and figures are expected to rise in the next few years.
The charity predicts that 8.5 per cent of people in the borough will have diabetes by 2020 - mainly due to new cases of Type 2 diabetes.
