Hi,
I was diagnosed with T2 about 18months ago. I take metformin twice a day and have suffered no obvious symptoms.
About 4 weeks ago I became aware of a numbness in the tip of my ring finger on my left hand. To date it's not changed. Just wondered if this might be result of neuropathy. Any thoughts?

Well you've obviously done something to the nerves there else it wouldn't be numb. Whether it's been caused by diabetes or not is impossible to guess unless you can say what your day to day BG control is like - so, can you? Do you have a meter?

Hi @Bayboy 🙂

What’s your diabetic control like?

Silly question - but do you have a ring on that ring finger? Do you have any other symptoms or any pain? There are things like carpal tunnel syndrome that can affect the fingers so don’t assume it’s neuropathy. Does your finger look different to the others? Is it numb all the time?

I’d think it needs checking out by a medical professional so you can get a proper diagnosis.
