Am type 2 for 20 years plus. Doctor has recently added Gliclazide and ramipril to my Metformin. Gliclazide as my Bs readings creeping up and Ramipril to protect my kidneys (a little protein showing in my urine) Have been on these to for around 3 weeks and now suffering diahorrea most mornings. Done some research and seems to be a possible link.
Anyone else got any info on this please?
Thanks
Ray

Welcome to the forum

I have no clues on the side effects of the drugs but hopefully someone else more knowledgeable will be along soon.

Hi. All three can cause diahorrhea. As it hasn't settled down by now I think it's time to let your gp know.

Welcome to the forum, raypev. For information about drugs, the nearest to hand is usually the patient information leaflet in the box of tablets. Pharmacists are members of the profession which is most knowledgeable about medicines, their effects and how to get the best effects and minimise side effectss. They are also easily approached, with no need for appointments. A wise GP listens to a patient who has spoken with a pharmacist.
