novo pen problems I am experiencing problems with my pen am I alone or are others finding problems too?

Hello @gungho, welcome to the forum.

There are at least 2 different models of refillable pens from Novo Nordisk; if you'd like to state precisely which pen model you're having problems with, very approximately how long you've been using it and a little more detail about what these problems are - we might be able to be more helpful with our answers.

I've had to replace one of my 2 NovoPen Echo Plus pens fairly recently, after almost 4 yrs use. It became very resistant, no longer a clean and simple injection process. My understanding is that 4 yrs is a realistic lifespan; they certainly won't last forever. Also eventually wear and tear can lead to a pen releasing irregular dose sizes, which may not be immediately obvious and bring about confusion with ratios for bolus and corrections - so considering periodic replacements (years rather than months, I'm not encouraging unnecessary waste!) is worth keeping in mind.

Both my blue and red NovoPen Echo 6s are listed on my repeat prescriptions, so getting a replacement is very straightforward for me; if your repeat script doesn't include replacement refillable pens, I would recommend you get them added. You cannot ever foresee when a pen might might need replacing, because you never know when you might drop and damage it - regardless of its age. I also already have one replacement pen in reserve. Once you have a broken or faulty pen the need for another is pretty immediate!

Which pen? What problems? Have you called the company about it?

Welcome @gungho 🙂 Which NovoPen do you have? What problems are you having with it? Is it to do with the tech side, eg dose recording, or are you having physical problems with it?
