Try your best to stay calm I know its easier said then done , would you mind coming on and lettis us know either way?

Cheers

good luck...like steff I am T2, diagnoised sept 08 but think i had been suffering for a good while before that....now with diet and a little medication my last HbA1c was down to 6.5 ...if you are diagnoised you will need to start testing you BS to see what is making your BS rise then adjust your diet accordingly you should be given a testing kit... and its all about moderation . come back and let us know how you get on 🙂

Like AM64 I was diagnosed Sept 2008 and am diet and exercise controlled at the moment. Come back and let us know how you get on - the boards are immense in terms of support, knowledge and friendship and you can get answers to most (if not all) of the questions you will want to ask.

Hi Lanzlady, welcome to the forum🙂 Try not to get too worked up. If you are diagnosed with diabetes it's not the greatest news, but it can be manageable and it's better than living in ignorance. When blood sugars are consistently high it can make you feel tired, emotional, unwell etc. and acting to get levels normalised after diagnosis often gives people a new lease on life and a determination to adapt to a healthier diet and lifestyle, so it's not all bad news!

Hi Lanzlady and welcome to the forum.

Hello Lanz - ditto what Steff has said and also Jo in the other thread. Knowledge is key, as is knowing what works (and what doesn't) for you. Support is essential, and again I can only echo what Steff has said. We are here for you.
