There is some snooker on the telly at the moment. I'm not a fan but I caught the beginning of the coverage and was interested in the theme tune. I thought that it really sounded like the Allman Brothers Band and googled it to see if I was right. It is in fact a track called Drag Racer by the Doug Wood Group. Anyway, it's a really good tune.

It was surprisingly progressive at the time (the late 60s) that the 'white' Allman Brothers Band had a black drummer.
 
I think there was some consternation amongst snooker fans when they changed it a bit as it used to sound much more like the original.
I've had a go at playing it on the guitar and it's not easy.

Edited as I've just listened to it and it appears they've reverted to the original theme again...I stand corrected by myself.
