Don't know what happened this morning but my handset wasn't talking to the pump. I managed to get around this and take a bolus and 30 mins later it was ok again. I changed the batteries in the pump and handset last night - could this have caused this?

Must just be me then :D

I have had 2 pumps & never used the handsets once. Being electrician who works with alarms/elec garage doors/Bluetooth car stuff all the time. I would not trust a third gadget. Ie a remote Hope you got the thing sorted

It's a common problem with the Roche pump. 🙂

Is it? I've never had it happen in four years. I must be lucky :-D

Sorry Maryanne, I don't know much about the Combo. I have seen other users talk about going through a 'connection' process though - might be worth phoning the helpline so you can troubleshoot it if it happens again.

Am I right in thinking you can just use the buttons on the pump to bolus though?

Yes you can just use the pump to bolus which I did. The handset told me it could not guarantee the accuracy of the data it was getting from the pump but thankfully it seems to have sorted itself out now. If it happens again I will call the helpline. 🙂

The only time I had a prob with the bluetooth connection not working it was because the batteries in the handset were running low. However as you'd just changed yours that seems to be an unlikely cause.

I started pumping at the same time as you with the same pump too. I get the same messages sometimes about 'can't guarantee accuracy', but when I've checked the pump data it is all OK - I just check it every time I get the message, maybe 3 or 4 times now. I was worried at first, maybe I'm a bit too blase about it now! Why don't you ring the help line at Accuchek to put your mind at rest, I always speak to really knowlegeable and helpful people - I have rung them quite a few times!

(I still love te bluetooth, don't think I'd've been up for a pump at all if I couldn't do it this way, I didn't want to have to keep removing the pump from under layers of clothes!)
