Relationship to Diabetes

Hi Friends

i think this is a silly thing to mention but i dont have anyone else to ask,

over the last 2 weeks i have noticed my left knee hurting usually in bed, but as i type its really aching, the other day i got out of bed and not only my knee but same side hip was really hurting, then later that day the ankle too

also on the otherside the muscle at the back of my right thigh feels like its been cramped and aches like a cramp does,
i feel a blooming wreck
there is nothing i can think of thats caused any of this...the only other thing that has accured is that my period started and stopped on tuesday....i am 50. so it could all be down to the run up to the change (sorry fellas)
the GP mention me gping onto a statin....good job i'm not on it otherwise that would have got the blame!!

i keep puting of excersice because of this in fear of making what ever it is worse!!

i am doubting that it has anything to do with type2 diabetes, but thought i would ask?

thanks so much xx

Probably not. But see your GP: you are, like me. the right age for rheumatism and arthritis to start, and you need to have it treated as soon as possible. If it isn't that, but something else, get that treated! As a chronic pain sufferer, I wouldn't put up with anything that made life more difficult if I didn't have to! (I have fibromyalgia. Most GOOD days I feel like my skellington is rusted shut!)🙄

thanx for your quick reply

i guessed it might be nothing to with diabetes, but just needed to check,

my younger sister suffers really badly with her bones, and is under the hospital with hers,

i've lost weight, eat better, and feel worse:D
lol xx

Hei Eat2Live.

Don't discount hormones either! What's the pain like in your ankle? Is it a like a shooting pain (almost like an electric shock)? I'm fast approaching my 52nd birthday and I can honestly say, I've had so many weird symptoms from hormones, even bg levels get elevated when my hormone levels are going jingly-jangly!

I suffer periodically form an aching back, knee and ankle too??

Donna 🙂

It could be any one of a number of things from sitting or standing or even sleeping awkwardly or something arthririts related. Any unexplained pain that lasts a couple of days is worth going tot he doctors with. I hope it is nothing serious and clears up soon

thanx caroline and donna,

i think it may be hormones, to be honest, i might go to vets instead of the GP and be put down🙄

by the way donna, you dont look any where near 52 in your pic.

xx

Oh gee thanks, must be the Frontline injections!! :D

Donna x
