The NHS has ALWAYS been propped up by billions of pounds of charity donations to various health and research charities, because our NHS never been properly funded since day 1.
How many charities can you think of that support a medical cause? How many have you yourself supported?
Then think, how much of those myriad charities income goes into our NHS in one form or another?
OK, now think how much the govt gets back in tax, from the energy companies that supply the hospitals clinics and surgeries, from the utility companies that provide clean water and get rid of the waste, the money gleaned from council tax on all these medical establishments... a lot of what gets paid in also gets paid out when you think about it.
