Hi Stuart, welcome back! 🙂 Sorry to hear you have been having a rough time, but pleased that you now have a pump - hopefully this will be a big help to you and you can get things under control 🙂 We've got lots of very knowledgeable pumpers here, plus a few people who have recently started on pumps, so please ask any questions you may have! Which pump have you been given?

There's quite a few members with that pump so you won't be alone. Blimey, 13.1% 😱 Just a word of caution, in case it hasn't been pointed out to you, take things gradually because dropping your HbA1c too quickly can (paradoxically) increase your risk of complications, so steady as she goes and try not to be too impatient for those good levels - they will come!

Do you have the book Pumping Insulin? Many members have said it's essential reading for pumpers!

Good luck with everything, let us know how you get on 🙂

No i dont have that book i may have to purchase this. Yeah diabetes team i have are really good and have told me that it needs to come down gradually otherwise i will feel worse and things can go wrong. I will keep everyone up to date with how it all goes.

Hi Stooby ! After 47yrs i know pumps are a great divice to get against T1. Pleased you got one. Welcome back 🙂
