Hi,just been looking at this site and thought it might help me to take my condition more seriously. Been diabetic for ten years but started with Gestational diabetes when my first child was on its way. It went with my first two pregnancies but stayed with the birth of my daughter. I have always thought that it is not affecting me but recently been diagnosed with Retinopathy and the circulation in my hands and feet doesn't seem to good. This is a real wake up call and I must finally try to get it under control!
Up till now I have taken my insulin but irregulary and mainly when feeling tired and thirsty. These symptoms creep up on you and eventually I do something about it. It obviously hasn't done me any good and I need to take my health seriously becauseI am not even 40 yet!!!!! But with 3 children, a full time job and a house to take care of I find its the last thing I think of.........
