I?ve been an observer of diabetes care for decades, both as a patient and a diabetes doctor. One thing that continues to capture my attention is the amount of diabetes mythology in the world, perpetuated by patients and health care providers alike. This might come as a surprise to some of you, but having an MD or RN after your name doesn?t mean you know a whole lot about diabetes. The world of diabetic medicine is far too broad for any one person to master, plus it grows daily.
