had my health check/diabetic review yesterday
BP good, forgot the numbers
Cholest: 3.1 not much change there
kidney funct: OK, slightly better than last time which had some `slight` leakage
Hbac1 59, which on her little wheel gizmo came out at 7.4 ish..a slight improvement on last time, which was a surprise as...

May was a really cr*p month
Stressed beyond belief
Had the neighbours from hell next door since last September, `elf and envoirment + police involved last few months due to noise and 48hr+ drug fuelled parties, not to mention violence et al.
Bad enough for other neighbours to complain/call police.
Quiet at the mo...heard on grapevine he has flown "mummys nest" and got an apartment in Manchester. Lets hope he stays there!!!
Had to abort my Irish End To End bike ride. Breathing, and what I thought was a saddle boil and turned out to be a blister of all things. Can only assume it was the saddle I`ve got on that bike, never had that before, it had burst and you could easily fit a 50p coin in it. Like sitting on a drawing pin. As for the breathing, GP to check out the old pump, he said some time ago if I had problems to see him and he would investigate further as it `might` be a leaky valve
Got the ferry overnight from Ireland, arrived home midday on Sat 18th May
Mid afternoon grandson and family called round.
They said you don`t know do you!!!!!
Our son Paul had died sometime during the night. It was expected, terminal cancer, but still a shock at the sudden turn of events as he had been speaking to people the night before and was in good spirits and spoke to his sons on the phone
The funeral was for want of a better word, modern.
Non religious, glow stix, summer clothing etc..
As his parents we were shall I say, dismayed
But according to his wife (number 4, he liked wedding cake), that is what he wanted
As the header says...........

So sorry to hear about your son.

Very good results considering everything you have been going through!

I'm so sorry to hear about your son. Good results though, well done.

Sorry to hear about your son. It's very difficult when different family members have different ideas about what sort of funeral service they would choose. Presumably your son had time to make his own contribution to the plans. Hope you were able to remember him in your own way too.

I can sympathise re the noisy neighbours, we have suffered this in two previous homes and it can really make your life a misery. Glad the perpetrator has moved out and lets hope he stays away. And .... ouch! re your cycling blister 😉

Great a1c and other results, especially in the light of all you've been going through.

What a month! :( I think given all that to deal with you should be very proud of that HbA1c. I'm very sorry to hear of your son's death, & that the funeral was difficult...I can imagine that must be hard to deal with. I hope the rest of your year is kinder to you!

So sorry for your loss of your son, tejbat6 - and everything else that has happened to you. Hope the future is kinder to you - and be kind to yourself, anyway.
