Having spent the last two weeks enjoying many more carbs than usual. From tomorrow onwards it is a return to regular diet. Not that it is bad but it was still lovely to take a break from mentally counting and thinking carb content. Although I wasn't that laid back I did test every now and then to see what was going on I can report not much to worry about. Happy New Year. Next carb fest Easter All those eggs. Yum.

Well done for testing @Sharron1, I also took a more lenient approach to eating but didn't test, mostly because I forgot to! A bad start to the festive season when we visiting Bruges the week before Christmas and went to the Old Chocolate House for "The best hot chocolate in Bruges" and gingerbread. Mind you, the hot chocolate was so sweet I could only get part way down the mug! Finally managed to palm off the half eaten tins of chocolates on my sister-in-law yesterday and am back on the wagon again.
Happy New Year to you and hope returning to normal isn't too difficult! xx

It is good to have a time when we can do the basics but be a little less focused. Well done on doing the tests and also you obviously didn’t go over the top as you found things weren’t bonkers.

I am thinking of my consumption of the remaining Christmas cake as practice for next year, to really nail the amount of carbs in my slices. But will I get exactly the same thickness of marzipan and icing next year!!
