Why do you feel hungry after you have eaten?
Because your body is malfunctioning, your bodily cells can't at the moment, get hold of the glucose in your bloodstream. All the cells have a padlock on their doors. Insulin is the key that opens the padlocks so the cells can absorb the glucose. Until you can get to a state where the cell doors can open - the brain will continue to send you messages that you need to eat.
It does not know that you have a malfunction elsewhere and just asumes you can't have eaten. (Cor - just before I was diagnosed I would eat 2 or 3 Caramac bars one after the other on the bus going home. How revolting!)
All that stops once you can only get your BG down into the 'normal' range, or a lot nearer to it at least.
