Hi, thank you northerner and Juliet. Very kind of you to reply. I have read about reactive hypo, it seems to be very random, in that after I've had a light lunch, big dinner, of course especially when I've missed a meal, particularly breakfast. Yesterday I had a normal portion of porridge for breakfast as I knew I was out early. I felt awful! I took my bm 2 hours after and it was 9.9.
I've also noticed after lunch I went to work (work earlies and lates) I exerted myself ( not overly) and the shakes and sweating came on quick, vision went blurry and felt extremely unwell, took bm and it was 2.1. I have access to bm monitor at work, I am a paramedic, I was given 50g of hypostop and things improved.
This is why I'm so concerned, I can't hide it at work for obvious reasons and it's happening more and more.
Sorry to go on!
There's been mention of an insulinoma, hence the C peptide test. One consultant wouldn't entertain this theory as it is so rare, but nevertheless it shouldn't be ignored!
Thanks again for taking time to reply
