Ok so under the heading abnormal no further action I received these blood results today. Considering my complaint was fatigue and heart palps I gave them a call, was told I could speak to a doctor but in a months time , well 8th March. I’m thinking this looks like I need iron and possibly some vit d before then. That ferritin looks almost non existent and looks like iron deficiency anemia to me. Haven’t had it since 2020 and I do take iron so I’m surprised. Least I know why I’m feeling so rough but is it usual for a doctor to see those results as ok does anyone know ?

My vitamin d recently came back below the low reference limit (I already take supplements but not prescribed) and was marked as satisfactory. Think it’s normal to be low in the winter.

Yeah I pretty much think the same about the vit d, although I will supplement. It’s the iron that bothered me, surely it’s not good to be that low on ferritin and i should have been told to get some iron down my neck

My OH was low on ferritin and was prescribed a three month course of high concentration iron tablets, he also has B12 injections every 3 months and he was also low on Vit D and again a high dose Vit D tablets was prescribed amongst all the other meds he takes.
