No alarm sound on Libre2

Hi all
Weirdly, the low alarm sound on my wife’s Libre2, has suddenly got no sound, just one (less than a second) vibration
The notification saying ‘Alarm unavailable’ comes up, even though the phone vibrates, and the alarm on my phone goes off via Libre view
We have tried adjusting all the notification settings within the app and on the phone, to no avail, and have gone through them with both the shop the phone was purchased from, and Libre helpline, both of whom could not resolve the situation unfortunately
On their advice we upgraded the android system from 13 to 14, but it has made no difference
The phone was purchased approximately 6 months ago (Google Pixel 7a) and has been fine up till now
Abbott are sending us a new sensor in a few days but I don’t think that the problem will be solved by a replacement
If anyone has had a similar problem, we would love some advice
Many thanks in advance

I’ve not had that same issue @Abner55
but strangely since my Android OS updated recently to whatever it is now

I’ve mysteriously got instances where, when I’ve opened the Libra app (to view my sugars)
whilst the app is open li get a pop up window that appears across the top of my screen
telling me to open the app 🙄

Ok not a major hassle
but at the same time that this pop up “pops up”
I get a audible alert which can be quite annoying if in the night / working
on a video conference etc…

I think I did mention to Abbot about this previously
they suggested I fully delete and re install their app
but haven’t done that just yet as didn’t want to delete the history at the moment

I’ve got a few photos of what happened (lol ignore the one where I was in the yellow folks)
currently I’m 89% TIR

best thing for me about CGM is
I’ve not actually had a recorded hypo now for over 30 days I didn’t realise that until just now
and only 10 in the the last 90 days (according to the data)
4 of those 6 nighttime hypos were over the same weekend (that was what resulted in me finally getting these sensors on prescription)

There was an issue with a recent OS update which I think impacted these alarms and people were sent an email from Abbott about it. There was a thread on the forum about how to override it if your phone had automatically updated but I think the advice was to postpone the update. Will see if I can find it and link it here....

Here is a link to the thread I was remembering....

Not sure if this is the cause of your problem but if so, hopefully this will help....

Thanks @goodybags and @rebrascora
We are coming to the conclusion that the main causes of stress since her diagnosis is the CGM Lol!
We seem to be checking the results with the BGM more often to see where her levels actually are (normally lower than the libre says)
Regarding the problem with the alarms, thank you both for your replies, we will investigate more today and will let you know if it’s successful

Hi @goodybags and @rebrascora
Thank you so much, again, for taking the time to reply
Thankfully we have resolved the problem by uninstalling the app completely and the reinstalling it
I know we have lost some data, but that is far better than being uncomfortable with no low alarm being available!
Big sighs of relief all round

If you had/have linked the app to the LibreView website (this is an option in the set up process which enables clinicians to access your Libre results) then the data will all be stored there but yes, you lose it from the LibreLink app when you uninstall. Pleased you have alarms once more.
