I was shocked when I woke feeling distressed this morning at 1.00 am to test and have bs of 2.7!! I couldn't believe it - it has been a long time since I have woke like that.

Even checked my insulin on the couch (it is were I leave my long acting to remind me to inject at 10) to make sure I had used the right one and low and behold I did.

I wont mind but my bs was 7.6 when I went to bed so god only know were the 2.7 sneaked from. Hubby recons I have these on a regular basis and sleep right through them - now that is a scary thought.

It is a scary thought, isn't it. I've had quite a few night time hypos recently, mostly at 5am which I find odd, has happened even with my BS high before bed, not sure why. Makes me feel rough the next day too. Hope it was a one-off for you!

Could it be because you're now exercising more?? Exercise can make your levels drop hours later

Yup - up to 48 hours later.

Knock a unit off your night time basal?
