Hi Again,

The last couple of days, I've felt a bit fluey and shivery but also been having lots of night sweats. This has resulted in my morning readings being quite high. As the day goes on, the bg levels go down to about 5.6 but the early morning one's are in the 8's and 9's. Sitting here feeling really clammy and hot and panicking about my levels which have been so good of late. Is this just a blip or do I need to go back onto 1000 mg of Metformin instead of 500mg which I'm on now. Feeling very hormonal and this must affect your bg levels surely?

Donna 🙂

I'm getting well into the menopause now and my hormones are all over the place, which does seem to have an effect on my BGs. If you're of a certain age as I am, that may be part of the reason, but I'd have a word with your doctor and see what they say.

See the doctor to rule out everything it isn't.

The other possibility is you are comming down with a cold or something. I get hot and clammy in the night and very thiersty when I have a cold. It nomrally passes in a few days.
