Hello all

NICE are seeking to recruit members to the Guideline Development Group for Diabetic Feet.

They are looking for a mix of HCPs, patients and carers (with or without diabetes) who may work in the following disciplines:

Member to the Diabetic Foot Problems Guideline Development Group (GDG)
We are currently seeking to recruit healthcare professionals who work with adults, young people and children to participate on the guideline development group (GDG) for diabetic foot problems. We are looking for:

  • [li]2 diabetologists with expertise in diabetic lower limb complications[/li]
    [li]1 x podiatrist with a special interest in diabetic foot problems[/li]
    [li]1 x GP[/li]
    [li]1 x community nurse or practice nurse ordistrict nurse with a special interest in diabetic foot problems[/li]
    [li]1 x tissue viability nurse with a special interest in diabetic foot problems[/li]
    [li]1 x vascular surgeon[/li]
    [li]1 x microbiologist[/li]
    [li]1 x orthotist (co-opted member role to provide expertise on less regular ad hoc basis to the guideline development group)[/li]

GDG members will be drawn from the NHS, healthcare professionals, patients and carers. They do not represent their organisations but are selected for their expertise, experience of working with multidisciplinary and lay colleagues and understanding of evidence based healthcare.

Being totally sureal or very silly, they just want feet with diabetes? They don't want a whole person with diabetes thene?
