AS a child, Mark Taylor would walk past Elloughton Castle and dream of living there.
So when the Grade II-listed building came on to the market the millionaire businessman bought the Victorian pile for his family.
Now in his 40s, Mr Taylor is expanding his waste management business in Australia and the family live most of the year abroad.
So he wants to hand the impressive East Yorkshire house over to health bosses to provide a safe haven for children and teenagers with acute mental health problems. This act of generosity has been thwarted, however, by NHS England bureaucrats who have spent weeks ignoring Mr Taylor?s calls.
In desperation he turned to Hull West MP and former Health Secretary Alan Johnson. Mr Johnson said trying to navigate NHS bureaucracy was a nightmare. ?Mr Taylor can find nobody prepared to talk to him.?
