NHS Supply Chain denies Weetabix delisting

They should, their breakfast choices are appalling.

Are they denying delisting Weetabix? Or doing it sot save money?

I like Weetabix. But then I’m T1. I’ve only ever eaten hospital food in Scotland, but I’ve no doubt it’s better than in England, because I’ve never had cause to moan.

The food in our local one is rather nice. It’s just so carb heavy, there’s nothing really suitable for a type 2. OTOH if you’re not, the puddings are fab #gimmetheinsulin

At our three main hospitals It’s cornflakes or porridge with anaemic toast.
Saturdays at our community hospital you get a proper fry up egg , sausages bacon and toast and their dinners were mostly home cooked and delish

I got diagnosed diabetic in hospital. As the doctor told me they were bringing in dinner behind her. As she walked away, they came over: "Dinner, we've got apple pie and custard for you!"
(When I tell this story, people usually say "Did they know you're diabetic?" I should hope they did!!! They'd just told me!)
Breakfast in my area is toast & jam and ceriel. Or bread and jam, cause making toast would set off the smoke detector (this is in the newly built hospital).

I was given an insulin pen and told to eat what I liked to get my strength back. They then moved me to a ‘proper’ ward, and they promptly confiscated the pen, leaving me with beggar all to eat and off the scale BGs. Apart from one bizarre night when I hypo’d for no discernible reason, and they treated that with toast and butter. Had to ask for the jam to actually make any difference. I’d only been diagnosed 2 months, and I’d already learnt more from here than then NHS apparently knew

This wasn’t my usual hospital, they’re pretty good.
