I wanted to join this when it started but Dr Idiot refused to sign the letter. She didn't think it would be 'healthy' and nothing I said could convince her. *Glasgow Kiss* 😡 😡 😡

I am a member of this website and I love it, it gives right back to diagnosis and gives you everything...weight, bp, trigs, bp, creatinine, hba1c, foot results, eye screening results, prescription history.........its brilliant.....

I don't understand your doctors logic Alison........it simply allows you to look back on your results, this wont help you now and in the future, but its nice to see improvements over the years, or be able to identify problems....

the letter can be signed by any one of your health care pros, provided you have them.....🙂

I got my surgery practice manager to sign it.

i attend my normal clinic, pump clinic and on occasion the GP.......the results getting updated isn't always as quick as i would have hoped.....but i think the website accesses the GP database solely, and its the GP that gets all the other clinics info, but each clinic has different systems or are in the process of improving or upgrading.....so its still got a long way to go....:D

It is a good site, but as has been said before, it can be a bit slow in being updated with the latest information. I had to email them to get the presciption medicine updated, but this has been sorted now.

Looking at the FAQ on the MydiabetesMyWay website says:
Can my health care professional refuse me access to my information?
A: Everyone is entitled to have access to their own information but your health care professional may not feel comfortable signing the 'enrolment form' without knowing more about the system. If this is the case we would be happy to discuss the project with them further on your behalf. We will provide you with a 'Staff Information' leaflet to give to them when you make your request.

Might be worth asking for the staff leaflet.
