NHS rejects Apple-Google coronavirus app plan
The UK's contact-tracing app is set to use a "centralised" system that worries privacy experts.

The story seems to concentrate on Apple (which may well make sense), and they have an argument: using the app to get more data (like position information) would be helpful in tracking where the infection's going. (Still seems rather risky to me; the more data you try and grab the fewer people are likely to want to cooperate. And promises from the NHS aren't nearly as valuable as they might have been before the care.data fiasco.)
