THE NHS has paid out over ?1million damages to men who have had their testicles wrongly removed by surgeons.
In most cases the men didn?t need surgery at all.
But in a handful of blunders medics have removed the WRONG organ.
It has led to surgeons having to also remove the second testicle.
The NHS typically pays out ?20,000 when it admits it is at fault for leaving men with one testicle.
But payments for mix-ups that leave a man infertile can be ?70,000.
