The NHS organisation responsible for most health and care in South Devon is in the running for two top awards.
South Devon and Torbay Clinical Commissioning Group’s Governing Body, whose members decide the value-for-money plans that determine the area’s quality of care, is in the NHS Board/Governing Body of the Year category of the NHS Leadership South West Recognition Awards.
Marisa Cockfield, the organisation’s equality and diversity lead, is shortlisted for the NHS Leader of Inclusivity of the Year award.
Louise Hardy, director of organisation development, said: “Our Governing Body has made good progress in its first two years, and in particular has taken a proactive approach to implementing the improvements suggested to us by the public.
