The NHS in Wales made “significant improvements” against a number of key performance indicators during the winter months, Health Minister Mark Drakeford has said.
In evidence submitted to the National Assembly’s Health and Social Care Committee, Prof Drakeford pointed to data from last December which showed the health service was able to withstand the winter months better than previous years and credited “robust” planning for the achievements.
The letter, which outlines the work undertaken by the NHS in its preparedness for the winter months, comes ahead of Prof Drakeford’s appearance in front of Committee members on Thursday.
