A leading NHS ?life coach? has come under fire for telling staff to keep a pillow under their desk and grab a 20-minute power nap in case they felt sleepy at work.

Jayne Morris, the health sector life coach for NHS Online, said overworked employees should grab 20-minute power naps to recharge their batteries, even in the middle of the day and at work.

Sleeping on the job may not go down well with some bosses but, she added, it could prevent some workers from burnout and stress and make them more productive and creative.

Ms Morris said a good idea to mentally prepare for power naps is by getting rid of any guilty feelings that sleeping at work makes a person lazy.
?Release any inner gremlins telling you that you are lazy for napping,? she said. ?Remind yourself of the benefits.

"Sleep is one of the most important things our bodies need, yet often what we cut out when we get caught up burning the candle both ends.
