The Wales Audit Office says it is ?keeping under review? the cost of an NHS computer system which has just started working three years later than intended.
Today, the Wales Eye investigative website has revealed the delay in launching the new IT system for pathology services.
The Welsh Government has invested ?12.1m in the project, but initially it is serving only two health boards ? Hywel Dda and Cwm Taf.
Originally meant to start operating in January 2011, the new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is to be used in examining pathology samples.
