Diabetes UK has worked together with partner organisations and clinicians as part of our campaign for the NHS to prioritise and solve the diabetes crisis.
We wrote to the NHS Commissioning Board (NHS CB) in England calling on it to ensure that the clinical and patient engagement is in place to drive up care standards. We pressed the need for the NHS CB to have a diabetes specific leadership and quality improvement focus and to retain the work programmes of the now disbanded NHS Diabetes.
