NHS chiefs have hailed the work of 430 volunteers who help deliver mental health and community-based services.
Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust invited all its volunteers to a ?thank you event? at Brockholes Nature Reserve on Thursday, which including some guided walks around the reserve.
Denise Carson, the trust?s volunteer service manager said: ?This event was a great way to get together some of our brilliant volunteers and to say thank you for their contributions.
?As well as helping improve the service user experience, being a volunteer is also a great way to meet new people and improve confidence and skills the volunteers may need to further their careers or get into an area of work they are interested in.?
