A HEALTH board were forced to apologise yesterday for the horrific treatment of
a brain injury victim.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde finally found the heart to say sorry after Health Secretary Shona Robison stepped in.
Board chiefs had earlier said they understood why nurses barricaded Bill Douglas, 59, inside his hospital room at Glasgow’s Victoria Infirmary.
It was only after a disturbing image of a plank of wood jammed against his door appeared in the Record that they actually apologised.
