The Isle of Wight's NHS Blood and Transplant service (NHSBT), which has closed ten venues, said it understands some donors will stop because it has become less convenient.
However, according to its records, only two donors had expressed a desire not to donate again since the changes were announced.
In response to questions posed by the Isle of Wight Health and Community Wellbeing Panel, the NHSBT said the decision to close the venues was taken for efficiency reasons.
