A MOTHER who lost one daughter after a series of hospital blunders has accused the new NHS 111 phone line of putting her surviving child at risk.

Tina Papalabropoulos died at the age of 23 when hospital staff made a series of errors while treating her for respiratory problems.

Now her mother Christine fears for Tina?s sister because the 111 service cannot provide the out-of-hours care needed by Vikki, 32, who is severely disabled.

Once when she called 111, a doctor had to be sent more than 60 miles from Kent because the overnight GP for her hometown, Wickford, near Basildon, Essex, had failed to turn up for his shift.
