Well things are not to bad have been a lot better not the cold has gone this pump seems to be ok for me sofar.
Had a bad week last week with having the cold and a lot of high BGs but after doing a temporary basal rate got them back on track so think I must be doing it right.
No problum changing canula or filling pump.
So feeling good at the moment. Did have a bit of trouble with one canula change dont know what happend but when I took the neadle out of it there was blood and I got a lump the size of a big marble so took it out and did another one got the biggest broose there now😱

Things sound really positive for you, great to hear after all the problems and delays you have had! 🙂

Glad it all going to plan, more or less...................

Whats the other half's thoughts on it?

Sounds like you'll taking to pumping quite well there Grandma, well done

As to the blood you probably caught a tiny vain known as a cusher in pump terms.. Can happen while you put a cannula in or taking one out, once you've taken out just press a bit of tissue on it for 5 mins, should stop bleeding by then, sometimes it takes several minutes longer though...

Don't be surprised if you have a little weep or two in the next couple of weeks, can be a bit emotional when you start on a pump, I remember I sobbed my heart out at the end of the first week, as not only did I feel full of energy something I hadn't felt for a while, but I had accomplished a whole week without a hypo, which was mind blowing when I had been having 2-4 hypo's daily for several years.. I was hypo free for 6 weeks😱

Excellent news Grandma. I knew you could get the hang of it ! There is lots more to keep learning & it gets better ! Honest 😎

other half just goes with the flow on things and wont change what hes been doing for years. Dosent carb count well its me that dose sort of for him as I know how much insulin he has and I put his meals out for him most of the time. Funny thing is hes not bad with his bloods and his HbA1c are ok. He can even tell you what is bloods are most of the time before he tests them.
Now me I do everthing Docs have told me changed this and changed that and still carnt get things right.
So hears hoping this pump helps me well I am feeling better about things and there has been no hypos for 2 weeks now🙂
