hi my name is rachel yesturday i found out ive type2 please can anyone tell me what i should exspect im a little scared

Hi rach, welcome to the forum 🙂 Try not to worry, there is a lot to take in, but take your time and try not to overload yourself. How did you come to be diagnosed?

Have a look at our 'Useful Links' thread fr links to helpful information. I would recommend in particular Jennifer's Advice and Maggie Davey's letter, and Type 2 Diabetes: The First Year by Gretchen Becker - these should all help to clarify things for you, but if you have any questions then please ask away!

It can be useful to start a food diary, recording in particular the carbohydrate content of everything you eat and drink each day. This will help you to build a picture of how things are currently, and where you may be able to make changes that would help with your blood glucose levels.

Have you been given any medication?

Welcome to the forum Rachel 🙂

Hello Rachel, and welcome. Don't panic! There's plenty you can do to help yourself improve your blood sugar, but do take it one step at a time. Let us know if/when you need help with anything.
