Hi David, welcome to the forum 🙂 It sounds like you got the wrong meter, I would contact Home Health and explain that you didn't realise you needed mmol/l. Details are here:

https://homehealth-uk.com/contact-us/

For now, you will need to divide you mg/dl readings by 18 to get the equivalent in mmol/l 🙂 84 mg/dl = 4.7 mmol/l, which is quite low. How did your diagnosis come about?

I was feeling tired all the time especially when driving so went to see the doctor and got me bloods done and got diagnosed with t2 and under active thyroid high cholesterol so now on 3 metaformin a day.i am finding it hard to stick to a diet as I work away and stay in me caravan but I am trying

Welcome to the Forum David. high cholesterol could be linked to the underactive thyroid as that happened to a colleague of mine when I was at work. Not sure if thyroids affect blood sugars though.

I am not on medication for under active thyroid just metaformin

Hello David, welcome to the forum 🙂 I have an under active thyroid too, it sucks, my hair is falling out. Bald is not a nice look on an ol' biddy. 🙄 I'm trying to kid myself I'm going for the Elizabeth I high forehead look.

Now you're on this forum you'll soon get the hang of having Type 2. Just watch the carbs, try and eat healthy ie not so much processed food.
