Hello there
Just to introduce myself. My name is joss and I am 52 and just recently be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
I live in the South Yorkshire area and this has come as a bomb shell to me to be honest. Found this forum via a link on Diabetes UK so though I would come over for a look see.

Your in the right place for support, help, advice, chat and a good old rant ... Whatever you need just post, there's always someone online who will be able to help etc .. if not they will be able to point you in the right direction .. 🙂

Hi Joss, welcome to the forum!🙂 I lived in Sheffield for twenty years, so know the area well! It can be a shock to begin with (I was diagnosed aged 49), but you will gradually learn to cope with it. Don't be afraid to ask any questions - however silly you may think them, there are no 'silly' questions here, but a crowd of very friendly and knowledgeable people and we'll do our best to help you out🙂

Welcome to the forum! There is a really great, supportive group of people here, I'm sure you'll be able to get a lot of answers, let off steam & have a good laugh too! I hope things stabilise for you really quickly, but whatever happens, we're all here to support each other!
