Hi was diagnosed type2 in June with a hb1ac of 110!! Now with diet ( I've cut out a lot of junk) and exercise my 3 month reading is 36. I had all the classic symptoms but I also lost a lot of weight. I admit I've been quite strict with myself but I do have the occasional treat and I eat plenty of veg with my main meal but watch my carb intake. I feel better and fitter than I have done for years but I don't seem to be able to put any weight on. I'm at a loss at the moment, I really don't want to spoil my hard work but a few pounds on would not go amiss. I attended a DESMONDS course but that was geared more to weight loss so my questions never got answered. If anyone could advise me about putting weight on in a healthy way I would be very grateful. It's still all new to me at the moment and my aim was always to lower my hb1ac and level out my blood sugar ( which I have) but I would really appreciate any advice on what other people eat and any tip.
