I have recently been diagnosed with type 2 and intend to start on a 800 calorie diet in the Hope I can get it into remission. Is it already too late though because my body is aching all over, my upper arms, lower back and thighs, I have lost my agility.

You might like to try the easy route first, drop your blood glucose levels to normal by restricting your intake of carbohydrate, that is starches and sugars, and see what happens.
Many start off at around 50 gm of carbs per day and then try eating only two meals.
I found that my blood glucose was more stable eating first thing and then again in the evenings, others have lunch and an early supper for best effect.
After three years I now have the same reaction to carbs as some decades ago - my weight shoots up rather than my blood glucose, so I stick to 40 gm of carb to control that.
The weight loss I experienced after diagnosis was entirely unintentional, and effortless, which is why I would say try this first - having struggled so hard to do the same thing on low calorie diets I have learned to avoid them.
