Type 1.5 LADA
After trying to managed type 2 unsuccessfully for 6 months, my GAD antibody and C-peptide test resulted in moving to type1 6 days ago. I was given the Freestyle Libre 2 for the 14 days trial period. I was to contact the Admin team at Gartnavel Royal for them to register me to complete a module then they would inform my GP of my eligibility . Unfortunately , they have not answered their phones or returned my messages, I have also emailed and no reply. My diabetic team in another local authority area cannot help me. The clock is now ticking in terms of the trial period and so far I absolutely love the monitor. Anyone else had this experience.
In terms of my insulin this is working well for me and I feel so much better.
regards
Elizabeth

I am glad that you now have a correct diagnosis, and have access to the training course And the trial for the Libre. Let us know how you get on.
