At risk of diabetes
Hello,

I have recently been told that I am Pre-diabetic and have been referred to the National Diabetes Prevention Programme. I enquired as to whether I could access a dietician and was told that I have to actually be diabetic to access this! I am adjusting my diet and increasing my activity levels but really need some personalised diet advice - has anyone got any ideas please? My GP not being helpful currently!

I wish I could have some assistance with how many carbs, how much protein etc

No dietician I’ve ever seen would answer questions like this. They give more general advice not specifics like that, around concepts like “halve the carbs and double the veg”, “swap biscuits/cakes for fruit and veg” etc
