Hi Sarah, welcome to the forum
🙂 Very sorry to hear about your diagnosis
But don't worry, what you are feeling is very normal! Getting a diagnosis of diabetes is a big thing for anyone to take in. You may have all sorts of ideas about what it all means, and there can be information and stories flying at you from all sides. But don't worry, although it is a big thing, and things can seem very complicated and scary at first, diabetes is something that you can learn to live with and control well, and it doesn't have to spoil your life. In fact, many people have found that, once they have understood it more and learned how to control things, they start to feel much happier and healthier than they have fr a long time, before they were diagnosed and affected by all those symptoms of poorly-controlled blood sugar levels.
It takes time and some effort, but I am glad you have come here because there are lots of friendly, experienced people who will do their best to help you.
I would recommend reading
