Newley diagnosed type 2

Hi mine name is Carrol and I have just been diagnosed with type 2. I am struggling to stabilise my blood sugars at the moment and have been put on Zicron, glicazide tablets 1 a day.
I am trying to change my diet in order to bring my levels to an acceptable reading. I could do with help on recipe ideas.

I'd suggest managing carbs. And self testing to see what affect food has on your BG levels.

I've started to reduce my carbs and eat alot more greens. (So boring) but would like ideas on puddings that I can eat as now and again I fancy something sweet.

You can have real custard, made with cream and eggs, or yoghurt, I get frozen berries, the lowest carb ones I can find - if you want to treat yourself you could make some almond sponge and create a trifle or simply pour cream or yoghurt over berries.

Google Keto dessert recipes - lots you can have including keto cheesecake, cookies, nut bars etc. I have tried and tested several and no sugar level spikes!
