Hello new on here having issues with blood ketones and control I take metformin and gliclazide daily

Welcome to the forum
If you can give a bit more information about what blood glucose and ketone levels you are getting that would help people to give you any suggestions.
What dietary regime are you following?
High blood glucose in the high teens and high ketones would warrant a call to your diabetic nurse, GP or calling 111.
Your ketone sticks should give you a guide on what is high.

Welcome to the forum @Topgun

Sorry to hear you are having trouble with ketones.

Have you been diagnosed for long? And how long have you been having these difficulties?

Ketones aren’t so often seen in T2 from what I can understand, unless dietary carbs are kept very low.

Are you checking ketones with a blood meter or urine strips?

Any weight loss?

If you have abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, breathlessness, or get an acetone/pear drop smell on your breath you should go to A&E so that you can be checked over.

Ketones alongside high BG levels can need very urgent attention.
