Welcome Dave B. As others have said, it is important that they give you the correct diagnosis, so I am glad that they are sorting this out. From your earlier post you mentioned that you are on two injections a day of mixed insuiln. Did anyone discuss Maultiple Daily Injections (MDI). This is a lot more flexible that the regime you are on, but maybe you have enough to edal with already.

No that's not been mentioned ,,,,,,,,,,,,yet , but like you say it's a wee bit too much to take in right now , but all suggestions ae gratefully accepted , had a little Hypo situation tonight , a wee bit scary to be honest , , , shaky and sort of delayed reactions , sweaty, lips felt funny , kinda things going in slow motion, blood count 3 ,,, so Banana and Jelly Babies , just checked again before bed and it's gone up to 16.5 , kinda all over the place at the minute ,,,,,,,,,will sort itself out at some point ................I hope , early days yet ,
Thanx for your help SB215,

Things really will get easier, but there is so much to take in at the beginning.
You are already getting to grips with it. Things will be a bit all over the place at the start as your body adjusts.

The best analogy I heard was that it is like learning to drive. I remember the beginning of that (I came to driving late). 'You want me to change gear, steer and look in the mirror all at the same time!!" Now I don't even need to think about those things. They are just automatic. I am just watching what is happening around, and there are the occasional road jams, blocks to find my way round.

Hypos are scary at the start. You already know that you can deal with them and once you are more confident you will find out how much glucose you need. It took me a while to believe the three JBs would really work, and I have an alarm set on my meter to make me wait the 15 min before stuffing in even more food. Have the jelly babies to hand and check if you start to feel weird.
