It can come as a bit of a shock but it can sometimes explain the symptoms you have been having and feeling unwell.
Were you told the result of the HbA1C blood test that would have given you your diagnosis as that will indicate how much work you will need to do. Have you been prescribed any medication as that may influence what dietary regime will be suitable.
In any event having knowledge about managing the condition will give you a starting point or making some lifestyle changes.

I was diagnosed 10 weeks ago and understand just where you are coming from. It's a major change to your life that physiologically and psychologically has a massive impact to your daily life.

This is a brilliant site though, reams and reams of information on the main page and some very knowledgeable and helpful forum members who will go out of their way to help you to understand what is happening to you.
 
I’m struggling to get my head around multiple health issues that came before Type 2, widespread Osteoarthritis, Fibromyalgia and Angina. Struggling to also factor in holding down 3 jobs and work out where and how to do exercise.

Eating carbohydrates makes your Blood Glucose rise, cutting down on carbohydrate food (not just sugar but starch as well) make a lot more difference than doing more exercise.

Exercise does not have to be anything too strenuous, walking, gardening, housework will all help rather than having to go to the gym unless that is your thing.
As mentioned dietary changes will have most impact and probably will help with your other conditions as well ir blood glucose becomes better managed as high blood glucose can impact on all the cells in your body.

Sorry to hear about the additional conditions you are having to juggle alongside your T2. Sounds like you’ve got a lot on your plate with the work as well.

Be kind to yourself, and allow yourself to adjust gradually. Hopefully you can find a menu which suits your diabetes and glucose levels, which also plays nicely with your other health concerns.

Losing weight can also be very helpful for diabetes management, and might have a positive impact on other things too.

The Learning Zone (orange tab in the main menu) is a mine of helpful information which you can work through at your own pace, so you might want to sign up for that?
